Three pillars

We show up in three ways.

Friends of Ezra walks with Richmond-area families through economic instability, isolation, and aging. Rebuild for the chapter of starting over, Rise for the chapter of building, Restore for the chapter of care. Here is how that comes to life.

01
Rebuild
Direct aid

Showing up with what is needed.

We provide direct aid to families navigating hard seasons. Not a referral to somewhere else. Not a list of resources to figure out alone. We show up with what is needed and a steady reminder that they are seen, valued, and not walking through this by themselves..

Examples of Rebuild support

  • Newborn essentials kits, diapers, wipes, and care items for new moms
  • Dignity kits with personal care essentials for women in transition
  • Pantry and household starter kits for families beginning again
  • Back-to-school backpacks and supplies
  • First-interview professional attire

02
Rise
Credit, Skills & Connection

Families deserve more than a door.

Getting steady is the start, not the finish. A household changes its story through what it builds and who it knows: credit that opens doors, skills that carry into work, digital tools that make it all reachable, and a community that sees them. Rise is how we keep walking with a family after the crisis passes.

03
Restore
Care for the Aging

You cannot pour from an empty cup.

Restore is for older adults aging in place and for the family members walking beside them. Older adults deserve to be seen, and so do the people who care for them. Both need a place to rest and a community that knows their name.

Examples of Restore programming

  • A community-based respite day program for older adults with early memory loss, in development
  • Support and connection for family caregivers
